http://coastroadrunners.com/2018/07/ If the opportunity comes with a good story and the money is right, I can act nude. As long as it’s tastefully done, I am okay with it,” she said.
She will however not be able to star in a full frontal nude film.
“I will not be able to do a full frontal. I am not particular about what I am showing or what I am not showing. As an actor, you should be able to go the extra mile to portray certain character. There was no way the scene where Lupita Njong was nude could have been done without her going nude. If the story warrants that I go naked, of course I will do it because I am an actor before anything.”
When reminded that Nigerian society frowns at nudity and there might be a backlash, the fair-skinned actress said if the film was worth it, she could live with the backlash. “I’m weary of the backlash because as human beings, some comments will get to me but at the end of the day I am an actor.”
Chelsea is not the only Nigerian actress who is open to play nude roles in movies. Actress, Sylvia Ezeokafor says she has no ‘boundaries’ because her body is her ‘laptop’. She cited the example of Lupita Nyongo who played a nude role in the movie, 12 years a slave and won an Oscar for the brilliant role.
Christian John (aka Krissyjoh Chris), CEO of Krissyjoh Production, has revealed why the women in his new flick bare the breast. According to him, there is no place in the Bible where God prohibits making epic films with nude women and girls. He says he is just trying to bring back the ancient tradition where women dress without covering their breasts in public.
Veteran actresses such as Genevieve Nnaji, Ini Edo, Chidera Adiele and a host of others have stylishly posed for nude photoshoots in the past, but it appears the upcoming ones are ready to take it to the big screen.
