Rio Olympics: Nigeria Suffers 2-0 Defeat Against Columbia

Nigeria’s Dream Team VI lost their last game in group B at the Rio Olympics games after going down 2-0 to Colombia.

Two goals in both half from Gutierrez and Pabon gave the South Americans all three points as they finished second on five points behind Nigeria on six.

Nigeria were also left to play with ten men for the last eight minutes of the game as Oghenekaro Etebo picked up an injury, which now leaves his states under serious question ahead of the quarter final.

Following Dream Team VI’s defeat, coach, Samson Siasia was singled as being responsible for the loss to Colombia.

The tactician had stated that he will rest key players for the game, since Nigeria had already qualified for the quarter-final, having defeated Japan and Sweden in their opening two games.
