Aero Contractors Shutting down Operations

Reports reaching us suggest that airline operators, Aero contractors will wind up their operations at the end of the week. The unconfirmed reports come on the back of very poor numbers in virtually all sectors of the Nigeria economy for the second quarter of 2016.

A weakened Naira has adversely affected many airlines operating in Nigeria and an American operator, Delta Airlines called a close on their Nigerian operations barely two months ago.
Aero happens to be the most affordable domestic airline the country, and has been in operation since 1959, with a fleet size of 17.

The company is not the only airline suffering from the economic woes bedviling the country, as a about 9 foreign airlines have cut thier losses and shutdown their Nigerian operations in the last month.

Delta Airlines called a close on their Nigerian operations barely two months ago.
Sunfit International, operated by a South African firm also announced the winding down of their operations just two weeks ago.
A wakened Naira has adversely affected many airlines operating in Nigeria.
