House of Reps Rejects Presidential Order

The House of Representatives particularly members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have rejected President Muhammadu Buhari’s executive order.

Vanguard reports by a voice vote, the order which is supposed to target corrupt politicians was rejected on Wednesday, July 11.

The order will see to the repatriation of properties acquired through corruption.

In a motion sponsored by 25 persons and moved by Hon. Nicholas Ossai (Delta State), the lawmakers said the order was against the tenets of the constitution.

In reaction, App Progressives Congress lawmakers walked out in displeasure.
