Okagbare Wins Gold at 2014 Common Wealth Games

Okagbare_at_2014_Common_Wealth_GamesNigeria’s Blessing Okagbare won first of three possible individual titles at the Commonwealth games in Glasgow. She beat Jamaica's Veronica Campbell-Brown and Kerron Stewart to take the gold medal in the women’s 100m sprint on Monday.

Okagbare new Game record of 10.85 secs was amazing. The Jamaicans, Veronica Campbell-Brown and Kerron Stewart who finished in 11.03 and 11.07sec respectively won the silver and bronze.

We congratulat Okagbare for doing Nigrians proud and for flying the Nigrian flag loftly high in Scotland. We pray that her tribe will increase and that more of such laurels will be won for Nigeria in her dire striaghts!
